Ecommerce Analysis Training

This ecommerce analytics training course is specially designed for ecommerce, traffic acquisition, merchandising / products, CRM, UX / Conversion and data teams. At the end of this course, you’ll have a better grasp of the different indicators and analysis frameworks for ecommerce sites.

Prerequisites

For the basic modules, a good knowledge of ecommerce and emarketing is required, validated by taking a quiz before the course.
For the other modules, the prerequisite is the level of a defined previous module, validated by taking a quiz.

Module 1: Ecommerce analysis – Fundamentals 1

Level: Beginner | Duration: 2 h

Discover the basics of ecommerce analysis.

Objectives:
1. Learn to work with key ecommerce KPIs and KPI trees.
2. Understand the ecommerce market equation and how its components work together.
3. Familiarize yourself with the ecommerce analysis framework.

Module 2: Ecommerce analysis – Audience 1

Level: Beginner | Duration: 2 h

Discover the concept of audiences and segments.

Objectives:
1. Understand the differences between customer, user and session in analytics
2. Learn how to analyze an audience by device, location, demographics and other dimensions
3. Identify the factors that influence data collection (adblockers, confidentiality, consent, etc.).

Module 3: Ecommerce analysis – Acquisition 1

Level: Beginner | Duration: 2 h

Discover the key acquisition metrics for analyzing the quality and performance of incoming traffic.

Objectives:
1. Identify the different acquisition channels (online vs. offline, paid vs. organic)
2. Understand basic acquisition frameworks (TOFU, MOFU, BOFU)
3. Learn how to analyze channel and campaign performance.

Module 4: Ecommerce analysis – Merchandising 1

Discover the key metrics for analyzing product descent.

Objectives:
1. Identify content categorization and navigation patterns
2. Understand product discovery paths
3. Learn to analyze product navigation and search behavior.

Module 5: Ecommerce analysis – Checkout 1

2. Understand how different abandonment rates are calculated
3. Learn to analyze funnels

Module 6: Ecommerce analysis – Monetization 1

Discover the key metrics for analyzing the monetization of an ecommerce site. Objectives: 1. Identify the different types of monetization and sources of revenue for an ecommerce site 2. Understand how to calculate key monetization metrics 3. Learn how to analyze the impact of seasonality and promotions.

Module 7: Ecommerce analysis – Loyalty 1

Level: Beginner| Duration: 2 h

Discover the key metrics for analyzing e-commerce site loyalty.

Objectives:
1. Identify the differences between retention and acquisition
2. Understand how to calculate key loyalty indicators
3. Learn how to analyze satisfaction

Our teaching methods

Our 2-hour modules are designed to maximize participants’ concentration and commitment. Using real-life case studies and your own data in complete confidentiality, you’ll easily assimilate the concepts covered. Our approach is pragmatic: we share best practices and concrete avenues of analysis.

Learning assessment

A multiple-choice questionnaire is sent to all participants at the end of each training module. A score of at least 70% is required to validate learning and move on to the next module. A training certificate is sent to each participant for the modules completed, once the training is over.
